Let me introduce myself… I am Sue Bee!
Hello there!
Welcome to my corner of the web, where the chilly winds of Northern New York State and the warm sun of California have both shaped my journey. I’m nestled in the far reaches of the North Country, just a stone’s throw away from the Canadian border and a quick jaunt to Vermont. It’s a remote and breathtaking spot along the eastern shore of Lake Champlain, that feels like home.
In September 2020, my partner and I embarked on an adventure across the country, setting up temporary roots near Sacramento, California. The West Coast was lovely, but it wasn’t the place where our hearts felt truly at ease. In October 2022, we decided to head back East, finding ourselves on a mountain in Vermont for the winter, surrounded by snow-covered landscapes and a cozy isolation that comes with living in the mountains.
I’m a proud mom to three grown boys, who are now navigating the joys of parenthood themselves. With a total of 13 grandchildren and 6 ‘bonus’ grandchildren, ranging from toddlers to teenagers. My crochet hooks are always in motion, crafting cozy creations for each of them. Moreover, my partner’s three young adult children, who are all remarkable individuals, are embarking on their exciting professional journeys, further enriching the tapestry of our blended family.
My love for family extends to the kitchen, where I’ve become a collector of cherished family recipes passed down through generations. I’m excited to share these culinary treasures with you, and I’d love to hear about your favorite recipes as well.
As you explore my space, you might notice some familiar watermarked images from another website, NoCoCrafts or Owl Bee Darned. Unfortunately, due to some hosting issues, I had to bid farewell to that site. Nevertheless, I’m here, ready to share my creations and experiences with you.
