I made this gorgeous thing for my cousin in Indiana. I named it for her. But no, Harriet is not her real name, just something silly we came up with while playing around with my Mom. But we rarely use each other’s real names anymore, just our nicknames, Harriet and Mildred.
Anyway, I had promised her this blanket before I moved last September, from the chilly and humid North Country region of NY State to the warm and sunny Central Valley of Northern California. I had started a different blanket, but misplaced my notes on it, regarding hook size and brand of yarn, as well as pattern alterations. So, instead I came up with this one. It’s worked in one piece in the Jacob’s Ladder pattern style. I can’t remember how many stitches between the loops/ridges, but they were spaced apart evenly.
I finally finished it although it took awhile! I feel like I was getting a bit burned out after working on it constantly. It will easily fit a double/full-size bed. I laid it out across our Queen bed for reference on its true size. (Never mind the blanket peeking out from underneath! It’s just my Raspberry & Sage blanket I made a few years ago! Lol)
No pattern… just done in “Jacob’s Ladder” style with simple scalloped border.
