Havana Mosaic Afghan

I’ve been working on a couple of things… one is an afghan from a pattern called Havana Afghan. It is a paid pattern, written by a lovely designer named Tinna. It has a lot of pages, but it really is much more simple to work up than it looks! I have a couple of her patterns, and I can’t wait to try another one of them! She has such beautiful designs!!!

You can see the progress pictures below. The entire blanket was made using Caron Simply Soft in white, and ANY purple yarn I had left from other projects. I’ve made a few things in purple lately, so this was a great stash buster for leftovers and scraps! Some of the scraps were variegated, some solids, some were ombre… a whole multitude of different shades of purple! But, WOW! This turned out beautiful! My step-daughter ended up asking if she could have it as a gift for graduating college, so it is now in her possession. She deserves it! She graduated cum laude!

The second thing I’m making is an amigurumi frog. I’ll get pictures of him soon… He is going to be so cute!
